Brier & Tyler
Brier and Tyler rented our Palace Yurt for their intimate backyard wedding in September with approximately 55 guests. Their vision of a cozy, meaningful day came to life perfectly with friends and family traveling from across Canada and even Georgia to celebrate with them, making the day feel incredibly loved and special.
The ceremony took place outdoors, followed by the reception in the Palace Yurt. Photographer Shannon Bishop, with Helena Ward assisting, captured every raw, candid moment of the day, beautifully preserving the joy and authenticity of their celebration.
Brier and Tyler personalized their wedding in every way. Their dog Odin served as the ring bearer, escorted down the aisle in a tiny tuxedo by Tyler’s father—a true highlight of the day. They opted for a first touch instead of a first look. One of Tyler’s best friends, who later became one of Brier’s closest friends as well, performed the ceremony, and a legal officiant handled the document signing. The couple also chose a completely dry wedding, inviting all guests to remain sober so everyone could fully enjoy and remember the day.
Dinner was provided by Stirlini’s Pizza, with charcuterie boards and salads prepared by Brier’s mother-in-law. Creative Slices by Cathy made a gluten-free cake and cupcakes, and Bulwark Ciders supplied non-alcoholic ciders to showcase the flavors of the Annapolis Valley. DJ Danimal of Event Co NS provided music for the ceremony and
reception, keeping the small dance floor lively until the end of the night.
Florals were designed by Poirer’s Petals, and Brier’s bridal bouquet was preserved as a cherished keepsake. Brier’s gown from Reverie Bridal was personalized with fabric from her mother’s dress, and her hair and makeup were styled by Sarah at Refine Hair Studios and Hailey Davidson (Hailey Rae Beauty), completing the look with elegance and fun.
Brier and Tyler’s day was filled with personal touches, laughter, and love, creating memories they’ll cherish forever.
What Brier & Tyler had to say:
"I can't say enough incredible things about Alex and Selene - from initial contact, to their set up/take down, and everything in between, their Palace Yurt made my wedding so stunning! For a backyard wedding it made it such a unique, stunning, and elegant event - we barely even had much other decor inside as the ambiance was so perfect in itself. It added a level of magic to the day and I truly feel like it was such a dream. Thank you for having such a beautiful product and letting it be such an incredible part in our day."
